SIX MEISSEN GILT-DECORATED SHALLOW BOWLS. First half 20th century. German. First decorated with scenic harbor views alternating with polychrome floral sprays, reserves separated by gilt scrolling borders. Second small bowl decorated with nut and fruit clusters within scrolled cartouches, centering gilt decorated rosette of “C-scrolls” all on deep indigo ground. Third, indigo and ivory example of floral vinery centering morning glory vines. Forth, ivory bowl with scrolling gilt designs. Fifth, ivory bowl with gilt scrolling oak leaves and acorns alternating with polychrome floral sprigs. Sixth, ivory bowl with gilt decorated floral and fruit clusters alternating with gilt diaper work cartouches. First impressed with “106”, cross swords in underglaze blue. Second crossed swords in underglaze blue. Third crossed swords in underglaze blue. Forth has impressed mark “C189” and crossed swords in underglaze blue. Fifth crossed swords in underglaze blue. Sixth has impressed mark “21”, crossed swords above “24” in underglaze blue. SIZE: Range from 8-3/4″ dia. to 11-1/4″ dia. PROVENANCE: From a fine New Jersey home.
