TWO NICHOLAS HAYDON MEISSEN BOWLS AND MEISSEN CHAMBER STICK. 18th and 19th century. German. Each bowl gilt metal border on a gilt bronze footed base. Interior of first decorated with lavender floral sprays. Second with two putti amongst clouds. Chamber stick decorated overall with floral sprays, finger grip in design of scrolling branch continuing to a floral candle cup. Each bowl stamped “NICHOLAS HAYDON” and affixed with paper labels dating the bowls at 1760 and 1775. Chamber stick Impressed mark “19”. Crossed swords in underglaze blue. SIZE: Bowls: 1-1/4″ h and 1-1/2″ h. Chamber stick: 2-3/4″ h. PROVENANCE: From a fine New Jersey home. CONDITION: All very good. 9-24537 (600-900)
