ALBERT W. WEIN (AMERICAN, 1915-1991) “SONG OF APOLLO”. The large verdigris and patinated bronze statue depicting a nude male with cape and winged helmet, mounted on a stallion, both looking skyward, the rider with right arm extended upward. The statue is modeled with accentuated details and musculature. The horse, standing on a stylized cloud and mounted on a stepped plinth with concave molded base. The signature and marks on the lower corner of the plinth and again on the concave base at the corner: “WEIN ’89 1/12 (C) 1989”. Bottom plinth stamped “CRF” on corner. Statue, plinth, and base all appear to be as one. SIZE: 41-1/2″ h x 21-3/4″ l x 13″ w. CONDITION: The richly colored surfaces in very fine condition, with no defects or imperfections noted. 9-92716 (75,000-125,000)
