FOUR WELL FRAMED WOOLWORTH PRINTS. This interesting lot contains four reproduction prints of paintings that were contained in the Woolworth Collection. All were important examples and one set the world record for an American painting at auction. They include: 1) Rembrandt Peale’s “Rubens Peale with Geranium” which is now housed at the national Gallery of Art. 2) Childe Hassam “Seated in the Garden”. 3) Winslow Homer “The Unruly Calf”. 4) Henri Fantin-Latour “A Carnation Bouquet”. Each frame is gilt gesso decorated and of fine quality. SIZE: 1) 28″ x 24″. 2) 32-1/2″ x 51″. 3) 24-1/2″ x 39″. 4) 18″ x 20″. PROVENANCE: Woolworth Collection (F.W. Woolworth Dept. Store).
