UNSIGNED (American, Mid 20th Century) THE NUTCRACKER SUITE. Unframed oil on canvas mounted to plywood holiday festive scene shows a young girl watching a small hand cranked puppet show which has just been opened from a gift box on Christmas day. The interior room shows a Christmas tree laden with gifts and a formal living room with fireplace, mantle accessories and furniture. A pull horse toy is in the foreground and two large swinging French doors flank the scene. The parents look from above. This was used in the holiday season from Thanksgiving through New Years at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts for many years during the last half of the 20th Century. SIZE: 124″ x 90″.
