UNSIGNED (American, 19th Century) NEW ENGLAND FARM SCENE. Oil on canvas panoramic scene shows a connected New England style farmhouse nestled below a grove of trees with split rail fence and clothesline with clothes. A woman crosses a bridge in the foreground, towards the house where a child plays in the backyard. A detailed background includes two figures with dog walking toward a house with church steeple, lake, houses, and hills. Cows can be seen in a far away pasture. The sky with pink, white and blue colors. Housed in what appears to be its original gilt frame. J. J. Adams Boston canvas stamp on reverse. SIZE: 22″ x 30″.
