ATTRIBUTED TO EMILE VICTOR BLAVIER (French, 19th Century) “HENRI DUC DE GUISE 1641”. Bronze figure of a soldier in full armor dress holding a large sword in one hand, the other hand with a scrolled paper. He wears a helmet adorned with a plume. The bronze base inscribed with title but appears to be unsigned. The base has two protruding bottom pins, probably for a base which is not present. Also there are two drilled 1/8″ hole in base along with holes in the back shoulder strap which were used to mount to a building. SIZE: 21-1/4″ h.
