TWO FRAMED 19TH CENTURY HORSE PRINTS & THREE SIGNED HORSE RELATED COLORED LITHOGRAPHS. 1) Large colored engraving after a painting by J.F. Herring Sr. (United Kingdom, 1795-1865). Engraved by G. Paterson, Published 1859 by Goupil & Co., Paris. Titled “A Glimpse of an English Homestead”. The scene shows a barn interior with horses, ducks, chickens, goat, rabbits, and the farm & his wife. Housed in a fine period Eastlake gold & ebony frame with white matte. 2) Black & white engraving after a painting by J.F. Herring (United Kingdom, 1795-1865). Engraved by Thomas Landseer, Published 1847 by S & J Fuller, Paris. Titled “Three Members of the Temperance Society”. The scene showing three horses at watering trough. Housed in a period Eastlake style frame. 3) Matted “The Bramham Moor Hounds at Weeton Whin” pencil signed by Sir Alfred Munnings (British 1878-1959), copyright 1929 by Frost and Reed. 4 & 5) Signed in pencil by the artist, Francisque Redour, and shows a man and horse jumping gate. The other depicts two polo players. SIZE: 1) 24″ x 35″. 2) 26-1/2″ x 35″. 3) 23-1/2″ x 27″. 4) 18-1/2″ x 24″. 5) 27″ x 20-1/2″. PROVENANCE: From a fine southern Maine home. CONDITION: Not examined out of frame. 1) Repaired tear into image in top left. 2) Some toning,small puncture at top edge of image. 3) Very good. 4)Margin losses and stains.
