FRANK COON (Mid 19th Century) PORTRAIT OF LAURA W. BOOTH. Oil on canvas half portrait of a young girl wearing a pink dress with ivy decoration and lace collar, an ermine edged shawl with red interior is draped below shoulders. She wears a gold necklace with a diamond centered gold pendant. An old typed label on reverse of canvas “Frank Coon Painted this picture of Laura Booth. She was Mrs. John Gleason’s Sister”. Also written on bottom of stretcher “Laura W Boothe Aged 7 years 1873″. Housed in its original lemon gold molded wood frame. SIZE: 18-3/4″ x 16”.
