N. CURRIER (Publisher, 19th Century) “THE LIFE OF A FIREMAN”. The ruins “Take up” – “Man Your Rope”. After a painting by L. Maurer, Lithograph by N. Currier and dated 1854. Scene shows various fire apparatus and firemen battling a huge building fire in a busy city. Housed in a carved walnut and gold lined frame. REFERENCE: Conningham No. 3520. SIGHT SIZE: 21-1/2” h x 29-1/2” w. CONDITION: Unrestored with foxing lines, minor scrapes and some margin foxing. Strong colors. Not laid down. 9-92529 (2,000-3,000)
