JOHN HODGSON LOBLEY (British, 1878) “GENTLE BREEZES, CHRISTCHURCH HARBOR”. Oil on board scene shows a small sailboat in a sheltered harbor with low lands, harbor buildings and sailboats in distance. All seen under an expansive blue sky with white clouds. Signed lower left “J Hodgson Lobley 1921″. Housed in a fine gilt decorated frame. On reverse is an original title label.
