THREE CARVINGS. Late 18th and 19th century, possibly American. 1) Cane handle in the form of a hand with ball. 2) Bone apple corer. 3) 18th century ivory carving of Christ and Virgin Mary. SIZE: 1) 3-3/4″ h. 2) 5″ l. 3) 6-1/4″ h. PROVENANCE: From a fine Augusta, Maine estate. CONDITION: 1) With old shrinkage cracks. 2) With split in handle. 3) With absence to right forearm and hand of Mary and left leg to the infant. Also with old shrinkage cracks overall. 9-29263 (300-500)
