AMERICAN EMPIRE MIRROR SHELF CLOCK. Second quarter 19th century, probably New Hampshire. In “as found” condition, the rectangular dovetailed case with hinged door mounted with an eglomise panel above a rectangular mirror plate within a frame of engaged gilt half columns. The blocked corners mounted with brass rosettes opening to an interior fitted with a brass 8-day weight driven movement. Clock is being offered with movement only. Face, pendulum, weight, hands, and winder are all absent. SIZE: 31″ h x 15″ w x 5″ d. PROVENANCE: Collection and shop contents of Linda and the late Vito Peri (owners of the Blue Dolphin Antique Shop, Northport, Maine). CONDITION: Old surfaces with some restoration, as previously stated. 9-90041 (400-600)
