REMINGTON VEST SINGLE SHOT POCKET PISTOL WITH ORIGINAL BOX. Cal. 22. SN 5506. Blued finish, 3-1/4” part oct bbl, brass post front sight, 2-pc walnut grips. Marked “REMINGTON’S ILION N.Y / PATENT OCT. 1. 1861” on top of bbl. Accompanied by orig 2-pc black cardboard box marked “VEST POCKET PISTOL. / Using Metallic Cartridge Size No. 22.” Plus address & instructions inside lid & “VEST POCKET PISTOL. / 1 Shot No. 22 Cartridges / BLUED” label on bottom of box. CONDITION: Very fine. 70% blue on frame & bbl, streaky on both sides. Bright blue on the hammer. Grips retain almost all of the orig varnish. Bore is lightly pitted. Mechanically fine. Box is worn on the edges & has repairs including some replaced covering on the lid. A tag has been glued to the bottom. 4-59346 JH69 (1,500-2,500)
