NEW ENGLAND FEDERAL BIRCH SEWING TABLE. Second quarter 19th century. The rectangular top above the conforming frieze fitted with a compartmented drawer above a sliding bag frame, raised on ring-turned reeded cylindrical legs with spool cuffs on ball feet. SIZE: 29″ h x 14-1/2″ w x 17-3/4″ d. CONDITION: Retains original surfaces with good patina. At some time, the table was apparently fitted with small rods at the sides. Each leg post retains a small screw hole within a circular outline. No other issues or flaws. Bag frame professionally restored. Very good overall. 9-92922 (1,200-2,200)
