LARGE TIFFANY FURNACES FRAME. Rare decorated frame is commonly referred to as the Heraldic Frame because of its design being comprised of knight’s helmets set amidst scroll work and other symbols including medieval weapons, coats of arms, sailing ship and other unique items with a Latin banner to the corner reading “Vincit Omnia Veritas (Truth Conquers All). Possibly a special order. The bronze rectangular frame has a simple attached back plate with open top to slide the glass and pictures in and out and has a wonderful aged thick chocolate brown patina with green and red highlights. The frame has a fold out foot support. It has an early impressed round mark with “Louis C. Tiffany Furnaces Inc. Favrile” and impressed with “6” and “1”. SIZE: 12″ x 10-1/8″. Opening: 9″ x 7-1/4″ w.
