Sketch shows a head study and other items. 2) Watercolor on paper signed bottom left in Cyrillic “M Kurzin” and “Tashkent 1942”. There is an additional illegible signature, possibly in Lithuanian and the date “May 22 1945”. Sketch shows a seated man and some household article. Both unframed and unmatted. Some literature concerning the artist indicates that he was a member of the “Masters of New East Operating in Tashkent”. SIZE: 1) 9-1/2″ x 6-1/2″. 2) 6-1/2″ x 9-1/2″.
