FOUR NIPPON MORIAGE COVERED URNS. Late 19th through mid 20th century. Japan. 9.75″ tall decorated overall with pink and lavender floral blooms on striated and marbleized green, yellow and pink ground. 10.75″ tall blue-green urn with scrolling moriage leaf tips, opposing cartouches with hand painted floral sprays. 12″ tall covered urn with vibrant hand painted irises with moriage diaper work, scrolled handles painted in shades of turquoise, lime green and pink. 14.5″ tall fine covered urn,fanciful ovoid form applied with scrolling handles decorated with overall moriage flower buds in aubergine and ivory with delicate wavy green enamel leaves. All unmarked. SIZE: See above. PROVENANCE: From a private Waterville, Maine home. CONDITION: First cap with loss to interior rim. Third, interior of cap appears to be over painted masking possible structural repair, exterior of cap untouched. Fourth, large area of top of neck in area of cap has been professional restored, cap with replace stopper. Overall good with minor wear and minimal loss to Moriage. 9-24927 (400-600)
