FOUR NIPPON MORIAGE VASES. Late 19th through mid 20th century. Japan. 12.25″ tall vase with gilt decorated ivory panels alternating with moriage heightened floral panels on pale yellow ground, inverted gilt decorated scalloped rim flanked by light blue scrolling handles with stamped in blue “Hand Painted centering a wreath with the word Japan”. 7.75″ tall wheat colored vase with mauve and ivory moriage details centering panels with simulated gold chains and jewels, stamped in blue “Hand Painted centering a wreath with the word Japan”. 10.5″ ewer formed vase with layered C-scroll handles with overall lavender ground and purple flowers. 9.5″ squat bottle vase with lavender flowers on pale green ground. All unmarked unless noted. SIZE: See above. PROVENANCE: From a private Waterville, Maine home. CONDITION: First item slightly soiled. Second item, rim edges and handles with retouched gilding. Third item with tight “V” shaped hairline. Overall good with minimal wear and minor losses to moriage. 9-24928 (600-900)
