N. CURRIER (Publisher, 19th Century) “THE PURSUIT”. Large color folio print shows man on horseback chasing an Indian with spear on horseback. After a painting by A.F. Tait and lithographed by N. Currier, N.York. Dated 1856. Print is housed in a period walnut carved frame with gold liner. REFERENCE: Conningham No. 4974. Companion to “The Last War – Whoop”. SIGHT SIZE: 21” x 27-3/4”. CONDITION: Fair, unrestored with some browning, stains and two tears, one in the upper margin and one in the lower margin. Not laid down. 9-92528 (1,000-2,000)
