FEDERAL MAHOGANY BOWFRONT CHEST OF DRAWERS. Circa 1800, probably Massachusetts. The rectangular top with bowfront above the conforming case fitted with four long drawers all with string inlaid borders above a shaped apron raised on French feet, the case sides arched. SIZE: 37-1/2″ h. Overall w: 41″. 21-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Old surfaces cleaned, showing substantial wear, the top with roughness to edges. Chest retains old if not original brass hardware.
