GEORGES AGLANE (Belgian, 1912-1994) “PRINTEMPS”. Oil on masonite surrealistic scene shows a woman’s head protruding from a bared root tree stump. Her hair is various flowers with green leaves, her eyes are wide open and she has a broad smile. Three cooking fires are seen in a grass and flowered land with rose to purple colored water beyond. All under a rose colored sky. Signed bottom right “Aglane” as the pseudonym for Aglane De Nivelles. Label on reverse indicating this is from the collection of Vincent Price. SIZE: 20-1/2″ x 24″. CONDITION: Very good with a few light scratches. 9-97629 (500-1,000)
