FOUR MINIATURE PORTRAITS ON IVORY. 1) Set in brass frame with hanging ring. Unsigned portrait of a gentleman in a brown suit and black bow tie. 2) Brass frame with hanging ring. The back with a window having braided hair piece. Unsigned of a young man with brown hair and black coat. 3 & 4) Small oval portraits of a man and woman. Unsigned, but having a modern identification on back “Joseph Packwood 1780”, the other “Demise Wright Packwood 1780″. SIZE: 1 & 2) 2-1/2″ x 2″. 3 & 4) 1-1/2″ x 1-1/4”. PROVENANCE: From a fine Augusta, Maine estate. CONDITION: 2) Some damage to paint on lower third. Otherwise very good. 9-29324 (800-1,200)
