NEW HAVEN WALL REGULATOR CLOCK. Last quarter 19th century, Connecticut. The rectangular case with incised cresting above the turned spool and pressed guilloche frieze, the rectangular glass door opening to an 11-1/2″ painted tin dial with Roman Numeral chapter ring and subsidiary seconds dial above time and strike apertures, “THIRTY DAY” painted on the dial, brass movement spring driven eight-day movement with pendulum. NOTE: Affixed to the rear of the case behind the apron is an original paper label which reads “AMERICAN REGULATOR./ 30 DAY./ Manufactured Expressly for/ THE AMERICAN WRINGER CO./ ….ERS STREET, / NEW YORK.” It is probable that this clock was a promotional item for this company.
