UNSIGNED (American,19th Century) PRIMITIVE COASTAL STEAMER. Interesting oil on canvas nautical scene shows a two-mast paddle wheel steamer sailing right to left with men on deck flying American flag. Other sails are seen on a deep green ocean. The ship sails by a shoreline fort with rocky coastline and crashing wave. All under a cloud and blue sky. Housed in a decorated lemon gold antique frame with gilt liner. SIZE: 12″ x 20″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-94267 (1,000-2,000)
