SMALL MEISSEN FIGURAL GROUP OF YOUNG BOY AND GIRL. First quarter 20th century, German. Depicting two young children, the boy with cup in his head, his head wrapped in a grapevine crown. The girl with bowl of food in her lap wearing lavender cape. Both seated on stump joined to flower strewn plith. Incised “P 282” and impressed “106”. With crossed swords in underglaze blue. SIZE: 7″ h. PROVENANCE: From a fine New Jersey home. CONDITION: With loss to leaf tips in crown. Otherwise very good. 9-24532 (800-1,200)
