Large hand colored engraving has embossed stamp from the Massachusetts Historical Society and are copies from the original 1776 publishing by Jew. Des Varres. Chart shows Mt. Desert Island with surrounding water, islands and coast. The land masses are colored green with a gold border. Nicely housed in modern black painted and gilt molded wood frame with gilt highlighted matte. SIZE: Sight: 43″ x 31-1/2″. CONDITION: Center seam where two charts align is evident.
