QUEEN ANNE MAPLE TAP TABLE TOGETHER WITH A SHAKER STYLE CANDLESTAND. 18th/19th century, New England. The table with rectangular pine top and notched corners projecting above the arched frieze raised on tapering cylindrical maple legs terminating in button feet. The candlestand with round dish top on a swelled standard, a characteristic of many Shaker examples raised on tripod base with cabriole legs terminating in snake feet. SIZE: Table: 27-3/4″ h x 36-1/2″ l x 22-1/4″ d. Candlestand: 29″ h x 16-3/4″ dia. PROVENANCE: From a fine Maine and New York private collection. CONDITION: Both items recently refinished, now in a light honey color with lack of patina, Table structurally very good. Candlestand with repairs to legs at standard, fair to good. 9-29892 (300-500)
