NEW ENGLAND SHERATON SPLIT COLUMN MIRROR. 2nd Quarter 19th Century. The eglomise panel painted with a hillside landscape overlooking a body of water through trees centering a large white house with full length veranda. The panel sets above a rectangular mirror plate within an ebonized and gilt frame applied with engaged half columns. Corners mounted with brass floral pinwheel rosettes. SIZE: 36″ h x 17″ w. CONDITION: Very good overall. One rosette is absent. Losses to gilding and paint from excessive polishing. Mirror plate original. 9-20227 (250-400)
