TWO SOUTHERN BONDS. 1) $500 State of Georgia Bond dated 1861, but not issued to 1 February, 1862. The coupon for November, 1864 has been clipped. CONDITION: Governors signature has been mostly cut out. Bond is very toned with poor quality printing. 2) $1000 Bond for the Selma, Marion and Memphis Railroad Company. Issued on 1 September, 1869. The first seven coupons through March of 1873 have been clipped. CONDITION: Minor chipping around the edges with heavy creases on the folds. Bond is signed twice by Nathan Bedford Forrest as President of this company. A printed engraving of him is also in the frame. 4-56012, 4-56018 X134 (300-500)
