NICE NEW ENGLAND SHERATON BIRD’S-EYE MAPLE ONE-DRAWER STAND. First quarter of the 19th C. Probably eastern Massachusetts or Rhode Island. The square thin maple top above the conforming frieze, fitted with a cock-beaded bird’s-eye maple drawer, raised on slender spiral-twist swelled cylindrical legs headed by spool turnings, continuing to long cylindrical feet with ring-turned cuffs. SIZE: 27-1/2″ h. x 18-1/2″ w. x 18-1/4″ d. PROVENANCE: From the Easton family estate, Paradise Farm, Middletown, R.I. By descent through the family to the current owner. CONDITION: Very fine condition overall, with original surfaces and nice patina. 9-93289 (800-1,200)
