MODEL 1866 SPRINGFIELD RIFLE. SN NSN. 50 Cal. Original. 40″ bbl. as converted to the 2nd Allin system. Marked 1866 on the breech block over the eagle head. Lock marked “US” over “Springfield” in front of spread winged eagle, dated 1865 behind the hammer. CONDITION: Metal in very good condition with some light surface rust, wood has been sanded with no inspectors markings are present.
