TWO SIMILAR NEW ENGLAND CHIPPENDALE SIDE CHAIRS. Late 18th century. Probably New Hampshire. Each with cyma curved crest above the pierce-carved vasiform splat, joined to the rush seat. The first with turned frontal legs terminating in Queen Anne feet, the second with square molded frontal legs. SIZE: Each 39-1/2″ h. of back. CONDITION: With old cleaned and repolished surfaces.
