TWO SCRIMSHAW WHALE’S TEETH. Mid-20th century, New England. The first scrimmed depicting Jack Tar posed in a landscape above the words “Free Trade“. The reverse scrimmed with a three masted sailing ship flanked by the words “Boston” and “AWS“. The second scrimmed with the portrait of a young woman beneath which is the name “MARY FOBES HUDDESFIELD” above a heart pierced with an arrow and dated 1856. Reverse scrimmed with lines of verse.
