The scalloped crest and scrolling ears mounted with a displayed phoenix above the rectangular mirrorplate within a gilt slip and a molded surround above a scalloped apron. SIZE: 21-1/2″ x 12″. PROVENANCE: From a fine home in Bucksport, Maine. Inscribed on backboard in pencil ‘D. Swatt/Orrington, Maine’. “This was given to me by – – – Baker. It was her families first looking glass when they lived in Orrington – – – [illegible]”. Signed: “S.A. Hobbs”. CONDITION: Original condition with old repair to crest.
