SET OF FOUR NEW ENGLAND CHIPPENDALE BIRCH AND MAPLE SIDE CHAIRS. Second half 19th century. Each with cyma curved crest rail with upswept molded ears above the pierced vasiform splat. Each woven trapezoidal seat raised on unusual molded frontal square legs, headed by a spool turning, the front legs joined by a bold ball-and-reel stretcher, overall the legs joined by turned double box stretcher.
