PAIR OF PORTRAITS. First half of the 19th Century. Pair of framed pastel portraits are unsigned but the woman has identification on reverse with the date “1756-1830″. They appear to have a pink pastel background with charcoal highlights. The woman faces left and has a large hoop earring, the man faces right and wears a black coat. Both housed in identical gold frames with eglomise glass matte. SIZE: Man is 15″ x 10-1/2″; Woman is 16″ x 12-1/2”. CONDITION: The woman appears to be untouched while the man has been laid on newer board and has been over-worked with a coloring lacquer or spray. 9-94162 (800-1,200)
