HEPPLEWHITE BURLED ELM AND INLAID TEA CADDY. Circa 1800. The rectangular caddy with hinged lid opening to an interior fitted with a pair of lidded tea boxes centering a clear glass waste bowl. The box with striped string inlays, a diamond form ivory escutcheon, raised on brass ball feet. SIZE: 6-3/4″h. x 12″l. x 6″d. CONDITION: Professionally restored and repolished with slight warping to lid. Tea box lids later replacements. 9-20099 (400-600)
