AMPHORA ART NOUVEAU FIGURINE. Spectacular figurine features Art Nouveau maiden emerging from the sea with arms extended and resting on two large aquatic plant leaves. At her feet is the head of another maiden with her hair flowing into the water. Signed on the back “E. STELLMUCHER”. Impressed on the bottom “AMPHORA 775” over a “2”. SIZE: 19 1/2″ tall. CONDITION: Crack running approx. 3″ from the bottom upwards, on the backside. The crack is obviously a product of firing and not later damage. Small area on back of hair where glaze is missing, again manufacturing flaw. Otherwise very good to excellent condition. 5-67405 (800-1,200)
