Collection of eight polychrome painted and decorated examples, including an oval French Majolica enamel box; two Meissen examples, gilt-heightened, each depicting two children; an oval French Samson armorial pillbox; a Continental enamel and brass pillbox simulating a lady’s pocketwatch; an oval brass wire basket box with enamel portrait lid; together with two 20th century English pillboxes, the first a Crown Staffordshire pillbox, the second a “Halcyon Days” oval pillbox, 1982. (8) SIZE: Largest: 3-1/2″ l. Smallest: 1-1/4″ dia. PROVENANCE: From a fine coastal Maine private collection. CONDITION: All generally in very good condition, some with very minor paint wear.
