*SMITH & WESSON 38 SAFETY HAMMERLESS 5TH MODEL REVOLVER. Cal. 38 S&W. Blued finish, 4” bb, 2-pc black hard rubber grips. SN 239077. CONDITION: Very fine, all matching including the grips, whose last 2 digits were scratched out and “77” hand written in their place, appear to be factory. Retains about90% bright glossy blue with light muzzle and edge wear and flaking on the top of the frame and sideplate. Cylinder retains 15% blue with the balance flaked to light patina. Grips are fine with light wear. Strong bright bore with light pitting, good mechanics. 4-48166 JR216 (Anderson Collection) (250-400)
