LOT OF 4 POSTAL COVERS. Two of which are official Confederate, one from “CONFEDERATE STATE’S ARMORY, RICHMOND, VA” addressed to the Tredeger Ironworks, the other being an unused envelope from the “C.S. ARMORY, MACON, GA.”. The 3rd cover is a postally used Confederate soldier’s letter envelope from Lt. Sam’l Kennerly of the 25th South Carolina who was killed in action at Petersburg, Va. in 1864. This envelope was hand stamped “10” by postmaster instead of 10c postage stamp. The 4th cover is post-war, showing a vignette of the “STEAMER, N.B. FORREST”. 4-56213-14 JS180 (200-300)
