CARVED WALNUT PANNETIERE, PROVENCE. This mid-20th century benchmade example with nine turned finials and carved scalloped cresting mounted on a rectangular case, fitted on three sides with baluster-turned spindles enclosing a compartment for the storage of bread. The frieze carved with a floral basket and olive branches above the iron-hinged door carved with a flowering plant, the scalloped apron carved with double-handled urn, the whole raised on scrolled carved feet. SIZE: 36″ overall h. x 32″ w. x 17″ d. CONDITION: Very nice condition with minor professional repairs and minimal insect damage. 9-92795 (900-1,200)
