JOSEPH SELBY (American, 1893-1960) SUMMER YACHTING. Oil on canvasboard scene shows a two-mast, white hull, yacht sailing right to left in choppy blue/green water under white cloud and blue sky. Another sailboat is seen off bow and a point of land off stern. Signed lower right and dated 1959. Housed in a gilt decorated molded wood frame. Label on reverse from Elyria Arts Company, Elyria, OH. SIZE: Sight: 23-1/2″ x 17-1/2″. CONDITION: Surface with a couple of small scratches, otherwise very good. 9-22176 (1,000-2,000)
