MEISSEN COVERED URN. Second quarter 19th century. German. Armorial vase applied with putti handles. Each crest within a scrolled cartouche, joined by floral garlands. The urn fitted with conforming lid with floral finial. Incised “diamond shape”. Impressed mark “146”. Painted in red “13”. Crossed swords in underglaze blue. SIZE: 15-1/2″ h. PROVENANCE: From a fine New Jersey home. CONDITION: Finial with small chip to flower petal. Otherwise very good overall. 9-24551 (1,000-1,500)
