FINE CARVED FISH TRADE SIGN. Late 19th- early 20th century. Carved depicting three fish tied together by their tails. The largest center most fish with open mouth displaying simulated teeth, the smaller fish with nice details of scales etched on the bodies. With remnants of original blue and green painted surfaces. The original iron strap joining the fish and with original wrought iron hanging strap. SIZE: 61-1/2″ l overall x 31″ w x 3″ d. PROVENANCE: Removed from Jimmy’s Harborside Restaurant, Boston, Massachusetts. CONDITION: Structurally very good with normal and expected shrinkage cracks. 9-28132 (1,500-2,000)
