MEISSEN FIGURAL GROUP OF DANCERS. Third quarter 19th century through first quarter 20th century. Depicting a couple attired in 18th century formal dress in the act of dancing, on a floral strewn scrolled plinth. Incised “0162”. Impressed mark “94”. Painted in red “59”. Crossed swords in underglaze blue. SIZE: 7-1/2″ h. PROVENANCE: From a fine New Jersey home. CONDITION: Base rim of plinth with two shallow chips beneath female dancer and loss of little finger on left hand of female. Overall very good. 9-24523 (1,000-1,500)
