A.E. CROWELL PAIR OF MINIATURE MALLARD DUCKS. A. Elmer Crowell (American, 1862-1962) of East Harwich, MA. Each with the Crowell impressed rectangular makers mark. Each on a clam shell base. Male inscribed with “#1” in pencil, female with “#2″ in pencil. SIZE: Drake: 3-5/8″ h x 4-3/4″ l. Female: 2-3/4″ h x 4-3/4” l. CONDITION: Each in original paint with original surfaces. The drake with a small chip at end of beak. At the back of the drakes neck is the outline of a rough oval that appears to be the result of sap having bled through to the painted surface.
