CLASSICAL PHILADELPHIA MAHOGANY CARD TABLE. Circa 1840. The hinged ‘D’-form top with round edges and corners swiveling above the conforming bullnose frieze, joined to the cylindrical ring-turned standard with gadrooned base, joined to the incurvate plinth, raised on four carved claw feet with scrolled acanthus leaf returns ending in brass casters. SIZE: 28″ h. x 36″ w. x 18″ d. PROVENANCE: From an extensive private Gulf Coast collection. CONDITION: Very clean, professionally repolished surfaces. Very nice figured mahogany with rich color and good patina. 9-93315 (2,000-4,000)
