UNSIGNED (19th Century) CAUGHT IN THE ICE. Oil on wood raised panel shows a white steamship with back paddle wheel caught in the ice with other schooners. Beyond is open water with sailboats in full sail. Seven horses? are seen in front of the stranded boat. Remnants of a possible initialed signature to lower left. Self framed with a dark brown border. SIZE: 6″ x 10-1/2″/ CONDITION: Very good. 9-20311 (300-500)
